FARM TOUR

COME VISIT TWO PRODUCTIVE PERMACULTURE FARMS HERE IN TZUNUNA!

Every Wednesday at 12:00 a.m. we offer a farm tour, based on donation. We start the morning at Granja Tz'ikin, where we will teach you about the ongoing operations of the farm. Afterwards we move on to Atitlan Organics, a permaculture farm close by, to check out how they function.

It is a great opportunity to learn and get inspired about permaculture, to play with the goats, exchange seeds and buy homemade and home grown products. Please let us know if you are interested so we can anticipate that. We always have breakfast, lunch and nourishing drinks available at the restaurant, so before or after the tour you have the chance to get nourishment.

How to get here

Coming from Antigua or from Guatemala city, you travel to Panajachel, one of the biggest villages around the lake. It will take about three hours to get there. We advise you to arrange a shuttle, that will cost you about Q65-80 per person.

From Panajachel you take a taxi boat departing from de public dock. Tell the captan that you are traveling to Tzununá ("zoo-noow-nah"), three stops from Panajachel. This will cost you about Q15-25 per person.

Get off in Tzununá and take a tut-tuk (a little red car on three wheels), tell them to bring you to Granja Tz'ikin ("tzi-keen"). This should cost you about Q5-10.
